Including the clothes she wore.In addition to the way she addressed a letter. Even to the objects she placed on her mantle. Finally, she planned the compositions of her paintings.

Marion Coleman, a great quilt artist

Coleman used found and vintage cloth to embrace traditional methods of quiltmaking. She learned to explore contemporary approaches to quiltmaking and fabric collage. Her background in counseling and work in social services led her to be deeply involved in the community. Through her art, Coleman asked us to think about human rights. Above all, she explored racial equality in the lives of American of African descent.

Most importantly,Joe Cunningham began making quilts professionally in 1979. Even though he previously had a ten-year career as a musician in Michigan. Moreover,Cunningham’s life is steeped in the study of quilt history. Above all, he has a love of traditional technique. Ultimately, he has developed a unique and lyrical personal style. In addition, Cunningham gives talks and teaches workshops. In addition,he appeared on numerous television shows about quilts. Furthermore, he wrote 11 books on quilts. Finally he wrote a column for The Quilt Life magazine.
